Man Drove into Pool in Mount Airy: Reports
The octogenarian reportedly died after driving into swimming pool at house.

A man died over the weekend after he accidentally reversed his SUV and drove into his swimming pool, according to the Associated Press.
At approximately 6 p.m. Friday, a family member found significant damage to the garage at the Mount Airy home, then discovered a Yukon in the swimming pool, the Carroll County Times reported.
Marvel Freund, 85, reportedly was backing his vehicle into the garage in the 6000 block of Runkles Road when he accidentally drove through the garage and into the pool.

After neighbors and relatives worked to get Freund out of the pool, he was declared deceased, according to the Frederick News-Post.
While the Carroll County Sheriffβs Office believes the death was accidental, the incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Steven Rager at 410-386-2577.
