Traffic Alert: Westminster Crash Closes Route 27

A crash in Westminster completely shut down an intersection Monday afternoon, and the road remained closed leading into the evening rush hour, according to transportation officials.

At approximately 2:45 p.m. on Monday, a single-vehicle crash was reported on MD Route 27 at Bond Street, the Maryland Department of Transportation said.

As a result, all lanes of Route 27 were closed, according to transportation officials.

A tractor-trailer rolled over, the Carroll County Times reported, stating: “...it’s going to be a while before it’s cleared.”

At 5:10 p.m., all lanes of Route 27 remained closed in the area of the crash.
