Two Charged in Armed Robbery Series: Carroll Sheriff
Pair is accused of holding up stores in Union Bridge, Finksburg and New Windsor.

Two suspects have been charged in connection with six armed robberies in Carroll County from the past month, according to a statement from the Carroll County Sheriffβs Office.
A joint investigation with Maryland State Police culminated overnight when authorities arrested 20-year-old Ann Marie Knights of Taneytown and 25-year-old David Joseph Beene of no fixed address, the sheriffβs office reported.

- 7-Eleven (attempted robbery), 2899 New Windsor Road, New Windsor; July 9
- Twin Kiss (attempted robbery), 2977 Baltimore Boulevard, Finksburg; July 6,
- Royal Farms 1818 Baltimore Boulevard, Finksburg; July 6
- Esquire Liquors, 5 West Broadway Street, Union Bridge; June 27
- Jiffy Mart, 3137 Baltimore Boulevard, Finksburg; June 21
- Shell Gas Station, 2284 Baltimore Boulevard, Finksburg; June 17
Knights is charged with five counts of armed robbery; five counts of first-degree assault; four counts of theft less than $1,000; and theft from $1,000 to under $10,000, according to court records. Charges against Beene were not immediately available.
An arrest is not a finding of guilt; all parties are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
