(matr.net) — A major new human composting facility has just opened in Elkridge, bringing an eco-friendly burial option directly to local families instead of sending remains out of state. The 37,000-square-foot Earth Funeral site can process about 2,000 bodies a year, turning each into nutrient-rich soil in roughly a month, and positions Elkridge as a key hub for green end-of-life services along the East Coast.
