Neighbor Ride Honored with COGS Partnership Award

Neighbor Ride is pleased to announce that it has been honored with the 2013 Coalition of Geriatric Services (COGS) Partnership Award.  Established in 1993, the COGS Partnership Award is presented annually to an organization that has made significant contributions to the well-being of the older population in the state of Maryland. 

About Neighbor Ride

Neighbor Ride is a volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the health and quality of life for Howard County’s older residents by providing affordable transportation for health care appointments, cultural and social activities, religious services, shopping and other personal needs.  Neighbor Ride offers this service so seniors, age 60 and over, can remain active, independent and connected to the community.

About the Coalition of Geriatric Services (COGS)

The Coalition of Geriatric Services (COGS) is a non-profit organization of public agencies, private companies and individuals who provide services to older adults.  The COGS currently has over 200 individuals representing 96 organizations from the Baltimore/Washington area.  Its mission is to foster communication, cooperation and education among the providers of geriatric services so that we can work towards a common goal of enhancing the quality of life for older adults.
