The Arc of Howard County is seeking nominations for its annual Celebration of Excellence Awards honoring individuals and groups which promote The Arc’s mission of achieving full community life for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Six categories of achievement will be recognized at The Arc’s annual meeting on May 8: employment, schools, professional services, community, public service, and self-advocacy.

Since its inception in 1961, The Arc of Howard County has become one of the county’s largest employers, with more than 300 staff members and hundreds of volunteers working to achieve full community life for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
