Scott Wilfong, Greater Washington/Maryland Division Chairman and CEO of SunTrust Bank, accepts the Mayor’s Business Recognition Award from Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. SunTrust was recognized for its partnerships with Living Classrooms, a non-profit providing financial and job training to young people, and The Power House, a local church.
Together they transformed a 100-year-old abandoned fire station into a community center for residents in the Perkins Homes neighborhood of Southeast Baltimore. The facility is home to the SunTrust Financial Education Center, which promotes financial well-being through classes focused on budgeting, credit and other financial topics
