Arundel Mills Area Gets New Ambulance
The Maryland Live! casino, growth in Hanover prompted public safety ramp-up.

Arundel Mills is getting a new ambulance to accommodate an expected increase in service requests with the .
The ambulance was originally due to arrive at the Harmans-Dorsey Fire Station in Hanover after the casino's opening, reported The Capital, but its debut was expedited in anticipation of the gaming center's grand opening on June 6.
“This service enhancement was a planned addition to the area and was in direct response to the new development and the anticipated increase in service requests,” Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold said in an official statement.

The basic life-support ambulance will be housed at the Harmans-Dorsey Fire Station in Hanover, and will be staffed by two dedicated emergency medical technicians around the clock, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
The Maryland Live! casino opens Wednesday night, with 4,750 slot machines and table games.
