Fabulous Christmas Ornaments ~ April's Picks

Every tree deserves a bit of new jewelry, and these fabulous ornaments would look great on any tree.

Christmas trees are everywhere you turn—on , and even at ! We always have a live tree and put ours up last Saturday. I love getting all of the ornaments out and layering the tree with memories. I combine meaningful ornaments with pretty ornaments to make our tree "ours."

While I use a lot of ornaments from the past, we collect a new one or two each year to reflect our travels or special occasions from that year. I am always drawn to the pretty ornaments found on store shelves or online. A pretty tree deserves a bit of new jewelry every year, right?

This year several ornaments caught my eye (check the photo slide show for the ones I love). If you hurry, you can probably still get them in time for Christmas!

You know that a bird in your tree is good luck, right? We have a few in ours—because more birds equal more good luck! I love this felt bird ornament by Crate & Barrel. He's not fragile, so your kids can place him on the tree—near the center, on a branch—to watch over you this season. For $2.36, you can get a few for you or for gifts (great for teacher gifts!).

Looking for a unique gift for someone special? Check out this fabulous handmade ornament. Made by Starless Clay, it comes in a rainbow of colors and is a conversation piece and a show stopper. It will surely be treasured by the recipient!
