Grassroots Elects Officers, New Board Members
The Board of Directors of Grassroots has elected officers and new board members for FY14. President Jeff Kassman, owner of Kascon Inc.; Vice President Mary Lasky, Program Manager at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory; and Secretary Rochelle Michaux Conway, Client Results Executive at Cerner Corporation, will continue in those positions. Tim Samuels, Chief Financial Officer for Bridgeway Community Church, was elected Treasurer.
New board members include Columbia Bank Vice President and Banking Center Manager Dottie Paxton and Wanda King, Owner/President of Choice Learning & Management Solutions.
Grassroots provides the county’s only emergency shelter and 24-hour crisis intervention services. Professional crisis counselors staff Grassroots’ 24-hour hotline; see walk-in clients in need of immediate counseling; operate the Mobile Crisis Team, which responds to community emergencies, and manage the county's emergency shelter for homeless men, women and families.
