Elkridge Hurricanes Still Undefeated

The youth football team blew away the Oakdale Bears in state championship playoffs.

After a win Sunday night, the Elkridge Hurricanes secured a spot in the next round of the Maryland Youth Football League championship playoffs.

Competing in the Federal Division, the Elkridge Hurricanes (11- to 13-year-olds) took on the Oakdale Bears on Nov. 27 in Olney.

"We won the game 34-0, extending our undefeated season against teams from the Mid Maryland Youth Football League to 12-0," said Elkridge Hurricanes Coach Joel Vittori.

"This week we face the North Harford Hawks White," he continued. "They are a much bigger team than we are and have great speed. It will be our toughest challenge of the year."

The date and time of that game are to be determined.
