Neighbor Ride is a volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the health and quality of life for Howard County’s older residents by providing affordable transportation for health care appointments, cultural and social activities, religious services, shopping and other personal needs. Last year alone, our amazing volunteers provided nearly 15,000 trips, helping local seniors remain active, independent and connected to the community.
The Vivian Reid Community Fund provides emergency financial assistance to older adults in Howard County whose needs cannot be met by public funds. The fund began with an initial donation from Vivian Reid, a form administrator of the Howard County Office on Aging, and continues today thanks to generous donations from the local community.
