Elkridge Heritage Society Presents: Elkridge Furnace Inn Dessert Night with Frank Crowson

We were extremely fortunate in booking gifted Maryland author and poet, Frank Crowson, to speak about growing up in Lower Elkridge, which is an important topic which we have not had the opportunity to explore thus far. Raised in Lower Elkridge, Mr. Crowson went to Elkridge High School with a gift for chemistry. A veteran of both World War II and the Korean War, he served for twenty-five years in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. As a civilian, Mr. Crowson worked as a professional nuclear engineer. He designed and constructed a number of the nation’s nuclear reactors and fossil fuel stations. With two other engineers, he established CDP Product Development Corp. and has been issued four U.S. patents. His first book, “Bearing False Witness” was published in 1997. His other books include “The Ninth Tier Down” (2001: novel about Antarctica); and “Around The World in 80 Lays” (collection of original poems), and "Now Home Again" (2008 soldier's love story). This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity, as Mr. Crowson is selling his house and moving to Arizona this summer.
