A new program, MyBudgetCoach, is being launched in Howard County by MakingChange in partnership with the Maryland CASH Campaign. The program helps working families and individuals improve their ability to budget and make well-informed financial decisions.
Understanding the importance of budgeting is generally recognized as the first step in successful financial planning.
Participants meet with a trained volunteer coach once a month for 12 monthly sessions. Budgeting techniques, financial management and goal attainment strategies are included. Participants and coaches use on-line tools to track progress in real-time.
