How Much Snow Did Elkridge Get on Thursday?
Snowfall across Howard County varied by a margin of several inches, preliminary reports show.

- Brighton Dam: 9.5 inches; reported at 4:32 p.m.
- Columbia: 9.5 inches; reported at 5:30 p.m.
- North Columbia: 8.3 inches; reported at 6:02 p.m.
- East Columbia: 7.8 inches; reported at 5 p.m.
- Ellicott City: 7.5 inches; reported at 6:56 p.m.
- Northwest Ellicott City: 7.5 inches; reported at 9:26 p.m.
- Simpsonville: 7.1 inches; reported at 9:54 p.m.
- Savage: 6.9 inches; reported at 6:44 p.m.
- Northwest Columbia: 6.3 inches; reported at 5:33 p.m.
- Elkridge: 6.2 inches; reported at 5:10 p.m.
- Hanover: 6 inches; reported at 8:46 p.m.
- West Elkridge: 6 inches; reported at 4:43 p.m.
Carroll County had the most snow in the state on Thursday, with Lineboro reporting a whopping 12.5 inches at 5:23 p.m., according to preliminary data.

The cold isn’t going away just yet. Wind chills were -4 in Columbia at 5:25 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast shows temps will stay below freezing until Saturday, when the high is 40 degrees.
