The “Pink Rabbit,” which made its debut along Route 1 south of Rowanberry Drive on April 2, 2012, will move to another exhibit in Colorado with artists Trisha Kyner and David Friedheim. This means the Howard County Arts Council will replace the previous sculpture with a new one.
Replacing “Pink Rabbit” will be a sculpture from North Carolina-based artist Jodi Hollnagel-Jubran. The sculpture, named "Continuum," will be unveiled Friday at the Elkridge library.

“It’s more abstract, said Beth Forbes, the Howard County Arts Council’s gallery director. “It’s a large, silver disk. It has some hue-colored elements on it.”
The Elkridge library’s exhibit is one of a dozen to showcase art, thanks to its ARTsites project, which is partially funded by the Howard County government. The Council’s goal is to generate public interest in the arts.
Several sculptures will be unveiled around Howard County this Friday, including the one at the library. There isn’t a set time or a public function or ceremony dedicated for the library's new artwork, though Forbes expects the new sculpture to go up around noon on Friday.
“If anyone wants to come see it they’re welcome to,” Forbes said.
