Sexual Assault Suspect from Elkridge Apprehended
David Maya is in custody, according to West Virginia's Wheeling Police Department.

Elkridge resident David Maya, suspected in the June 9 sexual assault of a minor, has been apprehended, according to the Wheeling Police Department in West Virginia.
Police said Maya was charged with four counts of sexual assault after he attacked a 12-year-old girl near a park in Wheeling. Police said he met the girl online.

A sergeant with the Wheeling Police told Elkridge Patch that Maya was found in Maryland near Washington, D.C., and is currently in custody.
Police said an extradition hearing will be held in the next few days to determine if he will be returned to West Virginia.
