Weather Alert: Howard County Under Flash Flood Warning
Low-lying areas are at risk of flooding, National Weather Service reports.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Howard, Baltimore, Prince George’s and Montgomery counties, effective until 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Approximately 2 inches of rain have fallen, and 2 more inches are possible, according to the weather service.
Flash flooding may occur in low-lying areas such as underpasses, streams and creeks, according to the weather service. If you see standing water while you’re driving, turn around—don’t drown.

Much of central Maryland and parts of Virginia are also under a flash flood watch, in effect until 2 a.m. Wednesday, meaning conditions during that time period could lead to conditions producing flash flooding.
