$1 Million Road Resurfacing Project Between Ellicott City, Catonsville Begins

The State Highway Administration says roadwork spans a 2-mile section of Frederick Road.

A resurfacing project on Frederick Road/MD 144 between Catonsville and Ellicott City began last week and will continue into the fall, the Maryland State Highway Administration reported Monday.

Crews will be removing the top layer of pavement, then patching and resurfacing a 2-mile stretch of Frederick Road from North Rolling Road to River Road, according to a statement from the administration. Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium is the contractor for the project.

Flaggers, barrels, cones and signs will help direct traffic around the work zone from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the week and 6 a.m. to noon on Saturdays as needed.
