$10 Vouchers To Boost Holiday Shopping In Old Ellicott City
Visit Howard County is giving $15,000 to shoppers in Old Ellicott City to spend before Christmas. Redeem $10 vouchers at the Welcome Center.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — To encourage spending in Old Ellicott City, officials in Howard County are giving away what they call "Holiday Bucks." Essentially, those who shop and dine downtown will be given a $10 voucher to spend at participating locations.
The promotion runs from Friday, Dec. 21, to Monday, Dec. 24.
To redeem one of the $10 vouchers, visit the Howard County Welcome Center on Main Street in Ellicott City. One per person will be available.

Visit Howard County is funding the program.
The idea is to support businesses that were affected by the floods on July 30, 2016, and May 27, 2018.

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball, Senator Guy Guzzone, Senator Clarence Lam, Delegate Courtney Watson, Councilwoman Liz Walsh, Visit Howard County and the Ellicott City Partnership will host a news conference on Friday morning to formally announce the initiative.
The program will give away 1,500 vouchers at the Howard County Welcome Center, 8267 Main St, Ellicott City, MD 21043. Vouchers will be available from 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, to 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24.
Shops and restaurants that are participating will have a flyer in the window.
