2nd-Grader Treats Howard County Firefighters To Thanksgiving Dinner
A second-grader kickstarted a fundraiser to give Thanksgiving dinners to Howard County firefighters who were working on the holiday.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A second-grader from Howard County decided to treat firefighters to a special Thanksgiving dinner.
Layla Looby started a fundraising campaign, then teamed up with Food on the Stove, so she could deliver turkeys to firehouses across Howard County.
"We are grateful for her efforts, and again, to promote healthier eating habits for the fire station," Howard County Fire Chief Louis Winston told WBAL.
