$5K Reward Offered In ID Of Vehicle Involved In Deadly Howard County Hit-And-Run
A $5,000 reward is being offered in the identification of a Jeep Wrangler HoCo police believe was involved in a deadly hit-and-run incident.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A reward of up to $5,000 has been offered for identifying a white Jeep Wrangler that hit and killed a man walking along Route 99 in Ellicott City Sunday shortly after 11 p.m.
The body of Michael Kevin Fitzpatrick, 54, was found by a passerby on the side of Old Frederick Road (Route 99) near Weatherstone Drive around 8 a.m. Monday. Investigators believe Fitzpatrick was walking alongside or in the travel portion of the roadway when he was hit by a vehicle.
Police obtained video from a nearby residence that showed a white Jeep Wrangler near the scene. They also located a piece of the Jeep’s white fender near the accident scene and believe that the vehicle has front-end damage, likely on the passenger’s side.
