9/11 Remembrance Wreath Laying Sunday At Garden Of Hope In Howard County
Join leaders and emergency workers 9/11 at the Garden of Hope for a remembrance wreath laying ceremony to honor those who lost their lives.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will mark the 21st anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, including the four victims from Howard County, and pay tribute to all who lost their lives with a remembrance wreath laying Sunday.
“Though more than two decades have passed since September 11, 2001, we will never forget those who lost their lives that tragic day, including our four victims from Howard County,” Ball said. “This annual remembrance ceremony reminds us that despite the challenges that face us a nation, we are stronger when we stand together to preserve the ideals of freedom.”
At 8:46 a.m. – the time the first plane hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center, Ball will join fellow elected officials and command members from the county police and fire departments and Howard County Sheriff’s Office for a remembrance wreath laying at Centennial Park’s Garden of Hope. The garden was dedicated on the first anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy and honors the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice that day.
Centennial Park South, Garden of Hope, is located at 10000 MD 108 in Ellicott City.
