Adjusted Start Times Announced For HCPSS Elementary, Middle School Students

HCPSS officials have announced there will be adjusted start times for numerous elementary and middle schools.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — For the 2024-2025 school year, 11 elementary and middle schools will have adjusted start times to increase bus efficiency and eliminate single tier buses, alleviate traffic congestion at respective campuses or neighborhoods and address community and school administrator’s concerns, officials announced.

Impacted families have received additional information from their school administrator. Following the current school year, new times will be reflected on the HCPSS and school websites.

  • Bushy Park Elementary School - 9:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
  • Clarksville Elementary School - 9:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
  • Dayton Oaks Elementary School - 9:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
  • Forest Ridge Elementary School - 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
  • Hammond Elementary School - 9:25 a.m. – 3:55 p.m.
  • Laurel Woods Elementary School - 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
  • Lisbon Elementary School - 9:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
  • Stevens Forest Elementary School - 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
  • Triadelphia Ridge Elementary School - 9:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Middle Schools 2024-2025 School Hours

  • Glenwood Middle School - 7:50 a.m. – 2:35 p.m.
  • Oakland Mills Middle School - 8:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
