Adorable Adoptable Pets Of The Week In Howard County
These pets are searching for their forever homes. They currently are at the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Meet Poppy, a cute and curious rabbit who is approximately 3 years old. She appears to be mixed with a breed called a Flemish Giant because she is a large bunny. She hops around and follows you, curious about what you are doing. She enjoys playing in cardboard boxes and loves to chew on wooden blocks. Poppy has beautiful coloring that changes from black to dark chocolate with red highlights depending on the lighting. She is a fun, active rabbit who would love a large pen for daily exercise inside. She even uses a litter box most of the time, too.
Seven-week-old Zeleine is a tiny female kitten full of spunk and personality. She is still getting used to people but her bold personality is showing through. She is confident in her exploring and likes lots of room to roam inside at her petite little size. Zeleine has large paws so she may be a larger-sized cat when full grown.
Dino is the sweetest 20-pound mixed breed dog who appears to have Yorkie or silky Terrier in hime. He's only 10 months old, so he needs an adult-only home or a home with older children who can help with his training. He's a vocal guy, affectionate and smart. He's very loyal and wants desperately to be someone's buddy. He can be a bit apprehensive of new situations and new people, but adjusts well. He'll need a fenced-in yard but loves going for walks. He is crate trained when alone and does well.

Shell-Don is a 6-month-old male painted turtle. Although cute and small currently, adult painted turtles can grow anywhere from 4 to 10 inches long. Males have a typical life span of 7 to 9 years, so Shell-Don’s forever family will have to be committed to him for his lifetime. Shell-Don enjoys splashing around his semiaquatic tank and his favorite treats are insects, fresh fruits, and veggies.
