Adorable Adoptable Pets Of The Week In Howard County

These pets are searching for their forever homes. They currently are at the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Hera is a beautiful 3-year-old spayed female kitty who is cute as a button. She is mostly grey. Hera is sweet, bashful and likes attention. She would enjoy a quiet home with cat trees for climbing and soft kitty beds for napping. Hera likes to explore around the house and will patrol your bookshelves and window sills. She is a cutie who may shy away from loud noises. Hera has been around another cat and done well so far.

Siren has such an entertaining personality. She is outgoing, friendly and will rub on your legs a lot for attention. She really gets into petting and sometimes gets overstimulated and needs a break. She would do best in a cat savvy home that can recognize when she is getting too excited. She does really well when you just let her rub on you to be pet. She will stand up to reach your hand and make biscuits in the air. She is absolutely darling and will roll around upside down to try to get your attention. Siren has been around another cat and has done well so far.

Roland is a 1-year-old Rooster in need of a forever home. Roland came to the shelter as a stray so we do not know how he will interact if introduced to other chickens. When he came to Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center, he was underweight and weak. Since being at the shelter, he has perked up and is eating well. Roland is cautious of new people but is okay being handled.

Bronson is a handsome 5-year-old male Hound mix. Bronson weighs a little over 60 pounds, so he wants a big fenced-in yard to play in with his new forever family. Bronson came to the shelter as a stray so we do not know how he will do with young children or cats. Here at the shelter, Bronson likes to romp around the yard with another large dog that can handle his rougher play style. If you have a dog at home, it would be best to bring them in to meet Bronson to make sure their playstyles match. Bronson is a high energy pup looking to join and be part of an active family.

Francisco is a 3-year-old male British Shorthair. Francisco is an affectionate kitty and will prefer a quiet forever home where the children are older and less likely to spook him. He was brought to the shelter as a stray so we do not know how he will do with other cats, dogs, or small children. Francisco instantly melts when you scratch his chin and begins to purr for you. When he is not seeking out attention from you, he can be independent and will explore his surroundings.
