Adorable Adoptable Pets Of The Week In Howard County

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Ruckus is a 2-year-old bully mix, a beautiful girl that gets along with other dogs. Interested people must own their own home in order to adopt a bully mix from the center, the shelter said.

Bun Bun is a 6-month-old male rabbit with adorable, big ears. Bun Bun has lived with children and gets along well if they are gentle with him. He is a very curious rabbit, according to shelter staff, and likes to hop around and explore. He enjoys running around very fast when he is feeling silly so he would need a fenced in area to keep him safe while he is exercising inside. Bun Bun loves to eat timothy hay and will follow you around like a little shadow if you have a piece of carrot for him.

Charlotte is a baby guinea pig who is just darling. She usually is nervous and holds completely still, hoping you will not see her. But if you move very slowly, she will stay still as you pet her and you see her eyes relax, shelter staff noted. She will even give you her guinea pig purr if you keep petting her. Charlotte will need slow, gentle movements as she gets to know you and some hiding places for her when she is nervous.

Cinnamon is a 1-year-old male guinea pig who is curious and likes to explore. Cinnamon will dig through his hay to find hidden treats and likes to play in boxes. He loves to chew on wood sticks that are safe for guinea pigs, shelter staff indicated.

Pepe has a very unique personality and will make you laugh every day. Pepe unabashedly will approach you and demand your attention then sit and stare at you until you reach in to pet him or give him a treat. He is very good at begging and needs a little extra exercise to help him lose some weight due to this. Pepe loves it when you scratch his head and shoulders or rub his ears. When you pet his back, he does a jump up in the air and kicks his foot out to tell you to stop. Then he runs around his cage and runs through his tunnels to be silly. He likes lots of attention and wants to explore. He has wiry hair that is so cute along with his big stripe on his nose, the shelter staff said.

Gus is an adorable male robo dwarf hamster who is curious and quite playful. He is very fast so you have to watch him close. Gus likes to explore his cage and burrow in his bedding and enjoys tunnels and a hamster wheel for exercise, according to shelter staff.

Thomas is a male panda teddy bear hamster. The shelter describes him as curious and very friendly. Thomas likes to be held and enjoys exploring. He will climb around your shoulders and loves to eat treats with you, shelter staff indicated.

These happy, friendly girls are named Cannoli and Farfalli. They are approximately 1-year-old female rex rabbits who are very soft, according to the shelter. They are curious and hop around, following you to see if you have a treat. They are bonded together and would like to find a home together. They like to hop around boxes to find hidden treats and they will come right up to you for a treat, too.
