Adorable Adoptable Pets Of The Week In Howard County
These pets are searching for their forever homes. They currently are at the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Dolly is a 7-month-old female pit bull puppy. Dolly is a sensitive pup and will need a family that can commit to her required obedience training and socializing, according to the shelter. Dolly is a playful pup and will benefit from having another dog in the home that matches her rough play style. In order to be approved to adopt Dolly, you must own your home and have a fenced-in yard.
Mistletoe is a sweet 3-year-old female cat in need of a new home. Mistletoe is a bashful girl and will politely request to climb into your lap for snuggles. Since she was found as a stray, the shelter does not know how she will do in a home with another cat or a dog. Because she is so timid and sound sensitive, she will require a home where there are no small children that may startle her. Mistletoe was weary of the camera, the shelter shared, but once in the safety of a volunteer’s lap, she allowed a few snapshots to be taken. To see just how beautiful she really is and to start the adoption process, call the shelter to schedule an appointment to meet her.
Peshei is a precious 1-year-old female British shorthair mix. Peshei is an affectionate kitty and cannot wait to join your family. With her previous family she did not interact with children, other cats or dogs. At the shelter, she isn’t too happy when she sees other cats so she may be more comfortable as the only pet in the home.

Groucho is a handsome 7-year-old neutered male cat looking for a home to call his own. Groucho enjoys playtime with the volunteers at the shelter. He also enjoys his independence and explores his surroundings to occupy his time. Groucho came to the shelter as a stray so the shelter does not know how he will do in a home with another cat or dogs. He will prefer a quiet adult only home that has big windows for him to bird watch.
