These pets are searching for their forever homes. They currently are at the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pet of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.

Ginger is a handsome, laid back fellow who is looking for a forever home. He is 7 years old and a neutered male. Ginger has not lived with other animals before; however, he is not upset seeing other cats. If you have another laid back cat at home, he would just need a slow introduction so he can get used to your cat. Ginger is curious and likes to explore. He will enjoy exploring your closets and shelves. He also would enjoy a cat tree by a window with a bird feeder so he can watch "Cat TV."

Caliope is looking for a very special person who will understand her. She will need someone who has lots of time to sit near her so she can get used to you. Caliope, or Callie for short, only feels safe when she is hidden in her covered kitty bed. Her instincts tell her to hide from people and from new sounds. You see, little Callie was found outside, hungry and trying to survive. Callie will need a very quiet, adult home with a bedroom where she can have a safe space of her own. She will need a cardboard box with a bed in it for her to have a safe hiding place. If you sit on the floor near her, talking calmly and quietly, this will give her time to get used to you. Just sit there petting her gently and you, too, will eventually get a little kitty lick from her like one of our volunteers did. Quiet and calm is the way to get her used to you. Callie is a 4-month-old, female, brown and orange patch tabby.
