Ambulatory Surgery Center In Howard County To Shut Down
Reports indicate that the Ellicott City Ambulatory Surgery Center will be closing due to low patient volumes.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — The Ellicott City Ambulatory Surgery Center will be closing due to low patient volumes at the facility.
As a result, 23 staff members will be laid off, according to National Today.
The surgery center is owned by LifeBridge Health, one of the largest health systems in the greater Baltimore area and operates several hospitals and outpatient facilities. The Ellicott City Ambulatory Surgery Center is located at 2850 N. Ridge Road.

Sharon Boston, spokesperson for LifeBridge Health, told the Baltimore Business Journal that they are working with "affected team members to identify job opportunities elsewhere within LifeBridge Health whenever possible.”
