The Arc of Howard County Holds Elections
Dorothy Plantz re-elected chair of Board of Directors

Officers were re-elected at the annual meeting of The Arc of Howard County. Columbia resident Dorothy Plantz, Director of Admissions and Advising at Howard Community College, was re-elected President of the Board.
Other re-elected officers include William Erskine of Offit Kurman Attorneys at Law, Vice President; Pam Guzzone of the Goddard Space Flight Center, Secretary; and Jane Padgett of M&T Bank, Treasurer.
Directors elected for a three-year term include Elliot Arditti of Dart Group II Foundation, Jeffrey Armiger of BB&T Bank, Cathy Cope of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and community advocate Kathy Rama Tellis.

Since its inception in 1961, The Arc has become one of Howard County’s largest employers, with more than 300 staff members and hundreds of volunteers working to achieve full community life for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It provides a range of residential, employment and family support services.
