On opening the store: I opened it with a childhood friend. We just wanted to do something that was kind of unique, cool, and funky. … We wanted to sell the best gift at the baby shower. … We were wanting to bring something new and unique to the industry.

On the latest buzz in the baby store industry: I find people who want organic or ask for products that are made in America. A lot of people are looking for organic. Everyone wants to give the different gift and be proud of what they’re giving.

On what she was doing before opening the store: I worked for a company doing computer stuff. … I was also a stay-at-home mom while I did the books for my husband’s landscaping company.  

Random tidbit about her: I am a huge animal lover and a member of Animal Advocates of Howard County. I try to support them as much as I can. In fact I just got a dog named Chilli.
