Book Signing Planned For Marriottsville Man Jan. 25
Rodney Hempel, 70, will be participating in a book signing from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cured/18th and 21st in Columbia.
MARRIOTTSVILLE, MD — When Rodney Hempel was laid up after having a few surgeries, he put his idle recovery time to good use and penned two books.
“I wrote these books to share my faith and to try to improve the lives of others who don’t grasp that God has made a way for us to deal with a fading body,” Hempel, 70, told the Baltimore Sun.
His book "First Adam vs. Last Adam: America’s Tale of Two Kingdoms” focuses on what Hempel describes as the dual citizenship of many Americans to their country and to God’s kingdom. "Take A Bite Out of Jesus: Healing Bread That Strengthens Us” discusses God’s promise of everlasting life in a spiritual body, no matter what a person’s physical disabilities are on Earth.
