Brush Fire on Manor Lane Under Control, Officials Say
Firefighters handled a blaze in Ellicott City Sunday during windy conditions.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — First responders were called to a brush fire on Manor Lane in Ellicott City Sunday afternoon, officials reported.
Firefighters responded to the 3800 block of Manor Lane for the report of a fire at 4 p.m., according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
By 4:10 p.m., officials said crews were putting out hot spots.

Howard County was under a wind advisory until midnight Sunday, and the National Weather Service said it had received a report of 47 mph winds in Ellicott City at 1:50 p.m.
