Burleigh Manor Students Place 6th In National Science Bowl
Due to the coronavirus, this year's National Science Bowl was held virtually June 8. Three 8th graders and 2 7th graders placed sixth.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A team of five students from Burleigh Manor Middle School have won the Maryland State Science Bowl competition held in early March and recently placed sixth in the National Science Bowl.
The team included eighth graders Anurag Sodhi (captain), Ryan Zou and Atul Kashyap; and seventh graders Maxwell Swann and Oyujin Damdinsuren. They won $1,500 for the Burleigh Manor Science Department.
Due to the coronavirus, this year’s National Science Bowl was held virtually June 8. The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science manages the National Science Bowl and sponsors its finals competition.
