The Howard County Summer Theatre proudly marks a major milestone with its 50th production: the beloved classic Fiddler on the Roof. Running June 18, 20, 24–27 at 7:00 PM, with matinees on June 21 and 28 at 2:00 PM, this golden-anniversary production brings renewed urgency and emotional resonance to a story that feels as relevant today as ever.
Set in the small village of Anatevka, Fiddler on the Roof follows Tevye, a humble dairyman, as he navigates the delicate balance between tradition and change in a rapidly shifting world. Featuring iconic songs such as “Tradition,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Matchmaker,” and “Sunrise, Sunset,” the musical explores themes of family, faith, resilience, racism and the courage to adapt in uncertain times.
