Calling All Howard County Artists!
A January 4, 2018 drop-off date has been set for HoCo Open 2018, the Howard County Arts Council's popular non-juried exhibit

HoCo Open, the Howard County Arts Council’s popular non-juried exhibit showcasing Howard County artists, is now an annual event! Adults aged 18 years and older who live, work, or study in Howard County are invited to submit one piece of original artwork completed in the past two years for the exhibit. Artwork drop-off is 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 4 at the Howard County Center for the Arts, 8510 High Ridge Road, Ellicott City. Artwork will be accepted for the exhibit on a first-come, first-serve basis, one piece per artist, until the gallery is full.
All artwork submitted must be original — commercially-printed or computer-generated reproductions of paintings or non-digital work will not be accepted. All work must be delivered ready for installation. The Howard County Arts Council retains a 20% commission on all sales.
The Arts Council will host an exhibit reception on Friday, January 19 from 6-8 PM (snow date: January 26). The reception includes light refreshments and is free and open to the public. HoCo Open 2018 will be on display from January 12 through February 23, 2018. Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. To obtain the HoCo Open guidelines and entry form or to learn more about this and other Arts Council programs call 410-313-ARTS (2787) or visit hocoarts.org.
