Child Pornography Charges Filed Against Columbia Man: Maryland State Police

A Columbia man faces numerous child pornography charges and has been taken into custody, according to the Maryland State Police.

COLUMBIA, MD — A Howard County man has been arrested after investigators found child pornography images on his computer, the Maryland State Police said.

Troopers arrested 51-year-old Adam T. Rubin of Columbia and charged him with eight counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography.

Starting in September 2023, the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force launched an investigation into the possession of child pornography online at Rubin's residence. Thursday, the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit, with assistance from the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations, served a search warrant at Rubin's home. He was arrested at the scene, according to the police department.

A preliminary forensic review of the suspect’s electronic devices revealed multiple images of child pornography. The investigation is ongoing, the Maryland State Police said.
