Commercial Building In Laurel Sustains $500K Damage Due To Fire: Official
A fire broke out at a commercial building in Laurel Thursday, causing an estimated $500K in damage. The businesses within are uninhabitable.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Firefighters were called to a commercial building fire in the 9800 block of Washington Boulevard in Laurel Thursday around 9 a.m.
When they arrived on the scene, they found heavy smoke conditions and worked to reign in most of the blaze within half an hour. The businesses within the building have been ruled uninhabitable and damage has been estimated at $500,000.
People in nearby businesses had evacuated before the department arrived. No injuries were reported. Mutual aid was provided by Prince George's and Anne Arundel Counties. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Maryland Office of the Fire Marshal.
