Community Menorah Lightings Planned This Week During Hanukkah In Howard County
Three community menorah lightings have been planned in Howard County this week to commemorate Hanukkah.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Several community menorah lighting and Hanukkah celebrations will take place this week starting Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Thomas Isaac Log Cabin, 8398 Main St., in Old Ellicott City.
Residents can watch the lighting of the menorah, enjoy holiday treats and soak up a special musical performance by Mt. Hebron Highschool Klezmer Quartet. For those who cannot attend in person, there will be a Facebook Live broadcast of the lighting on Tuesday.
Seven candles will be lit on the menorah Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Turf Valley Towne Square, 11075 Resort Rd., in Ellicott City. Then eight lights will be lit at 6 p.m. Thursday at Dorsey's Search Village Center, 4765 Dorsey Hall Dr., in Ellicott City.
