Cops, Community Mourning Death Of Howard County Officer
A longtime officer with the Howard County Police Department died suddenly this week.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The Howard County Police Department shared on social media Oct. 8 that officers were mourning the loss of one of its own. PFC Christian Freeman died suddenly, the department noted. He had been with the police department since 1995 and worked in the patrol division.
Sherry Llewellyn, director of public affairs with the department, declined to share additional information during this difficult time.
Facebook user Tina Fickenworth Claxton expressed her condolences to the department and officers.

"So sad to hear of his passing. God bless his blue family and his daughter in the coming days, weeks, months, years. God comfort you all in your pain," she wrote.
Dave Dixon also extended his sympathies to Freeman's family and brothers and sisters in blue.

"Christian, RIP Brother. Comfort to all those who knew you; and they are many. Linda and Nic... your police family and extended family stand with you," Dixon posted.
