Held on September 21 and 22, the Corridor Classic had something to offer everyone from the ultra-competitive golfers to those who were just playing to support a great cause and to have fun. Participants competed in several contests including longest drive, closest to the pin, straightest drive, and the million dollar hole-in-one competition. Golfers also enjoyed post-round massages, delicious food on-course from seven local restaurants, and on-site car detailing. An awards dinner featuring live music, raffle prizes, and a silent auction concluded each day’s events.

Jerry Rader, President of Corridor Mortgage Group, commented, "It has been a core for 16 years to look for opportunities where we can leverage our success to make a lasting difference in our community. Our team has rallied around this value, and together we are developing a passion to build a culture of giving back." From donating time and resources to local foodbanks to helping fund new schools in developing countries, Corridor Mortgage Group is passionate about the opportunity to lead by example and inspire other businesses to get involved as well. The thousands of dollars raised at the Corridor Classic tournament this year will help support over 830 Special Olympics athletes in Howard and Carroll counties, while also helping the Ulman Cancer Fund to organize patient navigation programs for 1,000 young adults diagnosed with cancer.

Earlier this month, the company announced the launch of The Corridor Foundation, a nonprofit sister organization that aims to provide a broader platform to increase the scope and depth of Corridor’s charitable endeavors both locally and around the globe.
