Court House Drive Drainage Work To Begin

The project in Ellicott City will stabilize the slope and restore drainage capabilities along Court House Drive.

From Howard County: A Howard County project to stabilize a slope and restore an existing storm drain outfall near 3620 Court House Drive in Ellicott City, is expected to begin on or about Monday, May 20. The project will involve stabilization of the steep slope and the restoration of the heavily eroded storm drain outfall channel. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late September.

“We appreciate the patience and support of our residents while we make Ellicott City safer and more flood-resistant,” said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball. “We will continue to move with a sense of urgency on all projects that prepare us for storms, take water off the street and keep everyone safe.”

Signs will be posted and flagging operations will be in place as the southbound lane of Court House Drive at the project site will be closed for approximately two days in August, for the construction of the storm drain system. The lane closure will take place during construction hours, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
