Dick's Sporting Goods Opening In Chatham Station
The sporting goods store has a weekend filled with grand opening activities, including an appearance by a retired Raven.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Dick's Sporting Goods is opening a new store in Ellicott City on Friday, Oct. 13.
Those in line early each day through Sunday will have the chance to win prizes.
Doors will open at 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, when those who are in line early can get the chance to open the "Dick's Sporting Goods Gift Locker" at 7:45 a.m., according to a news release about the event.

On Sunday, early birds can have their shot at the gift locker at 8:45 a.m.
The first 100 people in line Friday will receive a free Adidas go-to performance t-shirt, which has an estimated $20 value.

The first 100 people in line Saturday and Sunday will receive a "mystery" gift card, from $10 to $500.
Former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. will be on hand for grand opening weekend, signing autographs from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. Wristbands for autographs will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Patagonia will also donate $5,000 to Baltimore City's Great Parks/Strong Neighborhoods as part of the festivities. The Ellicott City store will be one of three in the Baltimore area carrying the Patagonia brand; others are in Columbia and Cockeysville.
Dick's Sporting Goods is located at Chatham Station Shopping Center, 9220 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21042.
