Driver Dies, 2 Kids Unharmed In Ellicott City Car Crash: Howard County Police
Police believe a 44-year-old driver may have had a medical emergency before crashing his vehicle. Two juveniles with him were unharmed.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that happened Sunday morning in Ellicott City.
At approximately 7:25 a.m., a 2017 Dodge Caravan was heading westbound on the exit ramp for Route 104 from Route 100 when, for an unknown reason, it left the roadway and struck several trees, according to the Howard County Police Department.
Victor Michael Collier, 44, of Deale, was pronounced dead at Howard County General Hospital. Two juvenile passengers were not injured, the police department reported.

Police are investigating whether the driver may have had a medical emergency prior to the collision; the investigation is ongoing. The ramp from westbound Route 100 to Route 104 was closed for approximately three hours, according to the police department.
