Driver Dies In Route 100 Crash In Howard County
Police said the 24-year-old was speeding and hit a guardrail in the deadly crash on Route 100 near Snowden River Parkway.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A driver died early Sunday morning in a crash on Route 100 in Howard County, according to police. Authorities said the driver was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.
Nicholas Marenga Mburu, 24, of Ellicott City, had been driving west on Route 100 when he lost control of his 2006 Toyota Camry in the area of Snowden River Parkway, police reported.
At 12:35 a.m. on Sunday, his car went off the road and hit a guardrail, according to officials. Mburu was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, authorities said.

Police said that Mburu, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to Howard County General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
According to officials, Route 100 west was closed until approximately 3:30 a.m. for the investigation.
