Driver Killed After SUV Crashes In Ellicott City: Police
A man died after his SUV left the road and struck a tree in Ellicott City, Howard County police said.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A man was killed after his SUV left the road and struck a tree in Ellicott City on Friday, according to Howard County police.
Police said a 2013 Nissan Juke was traveling north on Ilchester Road between Jeans Way and Bonnie Branch Road shortly before 9:50 p.m. when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and hit a tree.
The driver, who was the vehicle's only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released his identity.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Ilchester Road was closed for about 2 1/2 hours following the collision.
