Drug Take Back Event Across Howard County April 24

Prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs and sharps will be accepted April 24 at the HC DrugFree event.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Residents can dispose of unwanted prescription or over-the-counter medications during the HC DrugFree event April 24. Sharps, as in needles, syringes and EpiPens, will be accepted at the HC DrugFree event, too, which will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wilde Lake Village Center, 5305 Village Center Dr., Columbia.

Also available on Drug Take Back Day and every day, 365 days a year, are prescription drop boxes at the following locations (these do not accept sharps):
• HCPD Northern District (3410 Courthouse Drive, Ellicott City) | drop box open year-round
• HCPD Southern District (11226 Scaggsville Road, Laurel) | drop box open year-round
• HCPD Community Outreach Building (10785 Little Patuxent Parkway) | drop box open year-round, during regular hours
• Gary J. Arthur Community Center (2400 Route 97, Cooksville) | drop box open year-round, during regular hours
