Elkridge Man Charged With Murder In HoCo Hotel Stabbing Death: Police
A 60-year-old Elkridge man was found stabbed to death in the EconoLodge in Elkridge. A 43-year-old Elkridge man has been charged.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 43-year-old Elkridge man has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Dereck Thurman Williams, 60, of Elkridge at a hotel June 30.
Officers were called at approximately 8 a.m. June 30 about a man found dead inside a room at the EconoLodge in the 5800 block of Bonnie View Lane in Elkridge. Detectives eventually identified Erik Sean Meister, 43, of Green Field Road, as the suspect. Meister had been in the room with Williams before his death, according to a police report.
Officers spied Meister walking along Rowanberry Drive and took him into custody without incident.
