Ellicott City ArtWalk Gains Traction in Second Year
More art galleries are participating in the event, slated for Oct. 11.

The Ellicott City ArtWalk was a hit in its first year, and even more businesses have signed on for 2014.
The signature event of the Ellicott City Arts Coalition—which aims to raise awareness of the locals arts community—the Ellicott City ArtWalk will include 23 participants this year. In its inaugural run in 2013, there were 17 artists, galleries and retail venues supporting the effort.
Here’s how the ArtWalk works: Guests are invited to walk around to participating locations, which have their doors open and various artworks on display. At each spot on the ArtWalk, visitors can get a “Passport” stamped, with stamps translating into entry into the ArtWalk raffle. Admission and the ”Passport” are free.
